Operation Kalyna, Ukraine
“Operation Kalyna” was spun up just days after Russia invaded Ukraine. The first ask from the Ukrainian people was at least 1000 Individual First Aid Kits (IFAKS) and Tourniquet’s. We made it a priority to to connect with local leaders, clergy, medics, and the military to see what first aid supplies were needed most urgently. We still have boots on the ground ready to deliver to the people who have requested this aid, but what we need now is the financing to continue to make this happen.
What you donate will not be sitting in a warehouse, it is being deployed, and it is still what is most needed.
Operation Tatanka Nakicizin
"Operation Tatanka Nakicizin" (Defending Buffalo) was launched as winter descended on the first year of the pandemic. We drove a trailer full of cleaning supplies to the Covid-ravaged Lakota in South Dakota on Monday. We Picked up a HUGE donation from Stadium Hardware, in Ann Arbor. The Lakota needed to get supplies to the quarantined & locked down members in their community. We brought: 5 gallon Buckets that we will filled with: Sponges, Rubber gloves, Paper towels, Fantastic, Bleach wipes, dust broom, dust pan etc. We also included a mop and broom. for each kit. We picked up gallons of bleach and other cleaning fluids as we got closer to them, to reduce payload weight.
Operation Face Shield
Operation Face Shield was a viral volunteer based movement that began before the lockdown even began, when I realized that hospitals would soon run out of PPE saw the opportunity to transition from a 3d Printed frame to a rapid and reliable process called injection molding to keep ahead of the increasing demand for reliable re-usable face-shield frame. A partnership with Ferris State University, HPS Tooling, and a host of miracles have given us this incredible tool that allows us to mass produce parts here in Michigan. In less than 7 months from inception “OFS Ann Arbor:” had delivered over 54,000 face shields across North America.
Operation Ramp n’ Roll
In partnership with Crossing Water, we delivered bottled water and filters to the people of Flint, Michigan for over 7 years since the Water Disaster began. We met a lot of very grateful, and often overlooked Americans with needs greater that one could imagine. One of the most needed items that a wheel chair bound person needs is a ramp that is safe to . With the help of the United Way of Genesee County, we were able to rebuild and repaint two wheel chair ramps for residents of Flint.
Hurricane Katrina
For over 2 years, we assisted in the ravaged Mississippi gulf coast of Bay St Louis, Waveland, and Pearlington. We initially assisted in the establishment of “Foundation Hope” who provided food, ice and clothes in one of the only civilian volunteer POD. Later we moved to the economically devastated Town of Pearlington and built transitional homes for the residents there with the NGO none as “One House at a Time”
